St. Mary's About 1922

ST. MARY’S ABOUT 1922

Music has always been an important part of the services of St. Mary’s. In the early days Mrs. Rose Brady was organist for many years. She was succeeded by Miss Loretta Ryan, the present organist. When Father Predmore came here as an assistant pastor, being an accomplished musician and an authority on Church Music, he organized and directed one of the finest church choirs in this section. His first choir was composed of man and boys which sang n the sanctuary. Later on he organized an adult choir composed of men and women.

In 1922 this choir presented “The Seven Last Words of Christ”. This was given in the school hall with orchestral accompaniment. The program follows.
