1948 St. Mary's Members preparing for the priesthood

The following young men of St. Mary's parish are now preparing for the priesthood:

Mr. Paul Sheehan -- Mr. Sheehan was born in Elmira on May 24, 1919. He received his primary education in St. Mary's School and his secondary education at Elmira Catholic high. After three years at Holy Cross College, Mr. Sheehan began his studies for the Jesuit Order at St. Andrew's On-The-Hudson. he is now teaching at the Ateneo De Cagayan, Cagayan Misamis Oriental, Philippine Islands.

Mr. Joseph Curran -- Mr. Curran was born in Elmira on February 7, 1924. he attended St. Mary's School, Elmira Catholic high, being graduated from the latter school in 1942. Mr. Curran began his studies for the priesthood with the Jesuit Order at Wernersville, Pa., after finishing High School. From there he went to Woodstock, Md., and is currently pursuing his studies at the Jesuit House at West Baden, Ind.

Mr. John Richardson -- Mr. Richardson was born in Elmira, March 4, 1928. He attended St. Mary's and the Elmira Catholic High Schools. He is now preparing for the priesthood with the Franciscan order at Callicoon, N.Y.
