Reverend Wm. Tobin


Father Tobin attended St. Mary's School from which he was graduated in 1921. He continued his secondary education at E.F.A. and the Southside High School from which he was graduated in 1926. He studied at Niagara University for a few years and entered St. Bernard's Seminary at Rochester, N.Y. in 1928. He was ordained on June 9th, 1934 at St. Patrick's Cathedral in the same city by Cardinal Mooney. he sand his first solemn High Mass at St. Mary's in Elmira on June 10th in 1934. Father Tobin served as assistant pastor in the following parishes: St. Thomas, Sommerville, N.Y.; St. Anthony at Rochester, N.Y.; St. Mary's , Auburn, N.Y.; Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Rochester, N.Y.; St. Patrick's Corning, N.Y.; St. Mary's Canandaigua, N.Y., and is now assistant pastor as St. Ignatius Loyola of Hornell, N.Y.
